Our strengths
With nearly 80 research teams, our network ranks in the 1st position in France in the field of chemistry and its frontiers and among the best in Europe and worldwide.
Manpower
79 teams
The FRC network represents not less than 79 teams in 2011 divided into 8 areas of expertise: chemistry-physics, coordination and catalysis, drug and therapeutics, modeling and theory, organic and bioorganic, polymers and materials, supramolecular and, solid and inorganic.
An attractive network
Almost half of our doctoral students and post-docs originate from a foreign country. The research quality in chemistry and the very attractive cultural, historical and social setting in which to live in Region Alsace prod top students and future researchers to settle in Strasbourg.

Our laboratories benefit of state-of-the-art technology and lead innovative and promising researches. The numerous financial supports granted to them by the French government, the European Union or the industries, clearly demonstrate their capacity to achieve significant scientific breakthrough.
The FRC contributes to this dynamic. The Foundation accelerates current researches in allowing the purchase of new equipment and the recruitment of additional staff.
